Community Contracting & Training Expert (Short term)

Purpose/Function:

Coordinate the implementation of the CCAUD pilot project of community contracting for the Kalapotti slum involving plot-by-plot land raising and improvement of basic infrastructures (water supply, sanitation, drainage and roads/alleys improvement).

Coordinate the community contracting training programme for Kalapotti residents and concerned CBOs.

Provide capacity development for BCC staff and other stakeholders on community contracting issues for infrastructure projects

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning, implementing, monitoring and reporting of community contracting activities for the pilot sub-project in Kalapotti.
• Coordinating and liaising with BCC (Barishal City Corporation) and other implementing partners and stakeholders as required.
• Planning and implementing capacity development activities, e.g. formal and on-the-job training for BCC staff and other stakeholders on community contracting methodology and related issues.

Eligibility Criteria:

Interested applicant should preferably be a graduate and must have relevant working experience in the same position/sector.

Duration:

5 months.
