The Yeavlakh-Ganja Road is a part of the international road link that runs across Azerbaijan into Georgia. It is a part of the old Silk Road originating in China that passes through various CIS countries linking to Eastern Europe. The project involves rehabilitation and reconstruction of the Yevlakh to Ganja section between km 283 and km 333 of the East-West Highway M-2. It is an existing 2-lane highway. Its upgrading was funded by IsDB-SFD and Azerbaijan Government. BCL worked in the project under sub consultancy contract with Kocks Consultant of Germany and provided the Senior Pavement and Materials Engineer and Senior Bridge Engineer in the team. The consultant provided the services in 3 stages:
Stage-I: Design Review and Preparation of Tender Documents;
Stage-II: Assisting PIU in Tendering, Evaluation of Tenders and Contract Awarding; and
Stage-III: Contract Administration and Construction Supervision.
The project was funded by IsDB & SFD.
